Stretch Of I-25 Was Closed
At last report, Interstate 25 southbound was closed between Cheyenne and the Colorado State line due to events in Colorado. I-25 northbound from the state line to Cheyenne was not closed, but high profile vehicles with a GVW under 55,000 were prohibited.
The rest of I-25 in Wyoming was open, but with restrictions in place for varying GVW loads. The only exception was a short stretch of road in the Douglas area which had no restriction.
Meanwhile, the Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service was also warning of blowing dust in Eastern Wyoming and the Nebraska Panhandle:
Blowing dust has been noted across the region this afternoon as strong winds and dry conditions continue. With winds expected to continue to be strong through this evening, look for the threat of blowing dust to continue with it.
