Cheyenne's premier independent music and arts series Fridays in the Asher has one more concert this Friday night before it takes a temporary “spring break” hiatus, and it's going out strong.

kid astronaut, featuring Jon Shockness, who was formerly of the popular Denver band Air Dubai and Native Station will team up as headliners this week (March 15). Local rapper India Patrice will open the show.

kid astronaut has won significant acclaim for his rich, soulful, and experimental R&B style, earning high praise from Denver publications such as Westword. He released a new album in 2018, entitled Full Moon, and has draw ranging comparisons to a variety of R&B/soul talents such as Daniel Caesar, Usher, Jeremih, and The Internet.

The Denver five-piece, alternative band Native Station will make its Cheyenne debut as well. They've quickly earned a strong following in the region, playing roughly 50 live shows at a variety of venues up and down the Front Range since 2018.

The show begins at 7:00 PM Friday at the Asher Building (500 W. 15th Street) in Cheyenne. Admission is $5.00.The show is open to all ages. Beer and other malt beverages will be available for purchase for people 21 and older.
