A grass fire that was reported around mid-day Thursday torched about 2500 acres, but caused no injuries, according to a spokesman for Laramie County Fire District #10.

The fire caused no injuries and no structures were damaged.The blaze was reported just before noon near the Colorado state line, Investigators think a spark from a welder may have started the blaze.

It burned northwards before being stopped near the Dyno Nobel plant and the Union Pacific Railroad tracks. the fire was reported out by mid-afternoon, but mop up work continued until around 5 p.m.
