A 27-year-old Laramie woman is facing a felony charge after police, once again, caught her with drugs.

Rochelle Marie Martinez was arrested in Cheyenne on Sept. 24 after police conducting a traffic stop near the intersection of Airport Parkway and Black Court reportedly found a small bag of suspected methamphetamine in her backpack.

Three small scales as well as a glass pipe with a burnt spoon on the end were also located in the backpack, according to an affidavit.

When police questioned Martinez about the methamphetamine, she said she'd smoked methamphetamine two days prior and the bag could be leftovers from then.

A criminal history check showed Martinez had been previously convicted of two counts of misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance on Dec. 6, 2016, in Albany County.

Martinez was charged with third offense possession of a controlled substance.  If convicted, she could face up to five years in prison.

Martinez is currently being held in the Laramie County jail on a $1,000 cash bond.  Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 4 at 2:30 p.m.
