According to Air Force Times, Rep. Martha McSally, R-Arizona, stated that the services should not stop the A-10 Warthog aircraft, but close down groups like "Tops In Blue."

The reason Rep. McSally brought this up, is because the service has been complaining about manning issues on close-air support aircraft, like the A-10 Warthog, and are wanting to shut the programs down.

Instead of doing that, McSally suggested to the House Armed Services Division, that they should consider telling the Air Force to have their personnel "put down the tuba and pick up a wrench or gun."

Because of that, we asked our listeners what they thought about the issue. Here is how they responded to Rep. McSally's idea.

Of the 1,372 people who voted, 1,083, or almost 89%, agreed with the Arizona Representative, that times are tough and the focus should be on the mission, rather than entertainment.

About 12% said that groups like 'Tops In Blue' should stay around and an even smaller percent were undecided.

It's great to have wonderful groups like 'Tops In Blue' and others like them, but many people feel that the main mission of protecting Americans is more important during tough economic times.
