A&E’s biggest television hit ever is based on books by Wyoming author Craig Johnson.  Now produced by Netflix, "Longmire" tells stories of a sheriff based in  Buffalo,  Johnson County and  Wyoming.

The real Buffalo, Wyoming  has taken the show to heart and has been hosting fan appreciation parties that have become the town’s biggest event of the summer, Longmire Days.

Actors from the show are a real fan favorite for Longmire Days and now that series shooting schedules and other logistics have been worked out, The Buffalo Chamber Of Commerce has announced dates for this very popular event.

On their site, they say “Our 6th Annual Longmire Days is scheduled for July 7-9, 2017. We are looking forward to having our actors, along with the big man himself, Craig Johnson, in attendance, with plenty of fun-filled events for all ages.”

Fans from far and wide will be in Buffalo to celebrate the show and have a good time. Some will come to party, others will come to volunteer. To that end, they say “Now that we have the dates, we can get working on a schedule of activities. We will post more updates as they become available, including activities, registrations, volunteer opportunities and more.

For potential volunteers, the organizational meeting will be July 6, 2017. Please keep this in mind when booking your stay, if you are coming from out of town to volunteer.”
