We see people injured and killed and nature destroyed by idiots in OUR NATIONAL PARKS. In its 100th year, our National Parks Service have some decisions to make. With more than 3.8 million visitors last year, Yellowstone visits are record setting, as are Rocky Mountain National Park visitations by almost a million visitors, from 3.4 million in 2014 to 4.1 million in 2015.

Are we showing our parks too much love? The animals and natural features are being stressed.

With restrooms straining to keep up with usage and trails eroding, you may even have a hard time finding a parking space. One day last summer, RMNP had 13,000 vehicles through its main gate according to kdvr. Consider more parking lots and shuttles and it kind of ruins the natural setting but something needs to be done. Does it mean capping the number of visitors, making reservations and or shutting down sections or maybe even the whole park on certain days?

The National Park Service has some serious decisions to consider. In the meantime, plan your visit. They suggest arriving before 10 a.m. or after 3 p.m.

Our National Parks, we love them to death.
