Rep. Sam Krone, R-Cody, thinks there will be continued efforts to legalize Marijuana in Wyoming. Two of Wyoming’s neighbors have made those moves already, and the Cowboy State should see what we can learn from them in order to deal with the expected introduction of more bills trying to legalize or at least decriminalize pot.

Colorado made the herb legal for adults and Montana said ok to restricted medical use. But the most recent legislative session would not even take off the harsh penalties by decriminalizing the chronic.

Krone has House Bill 187 going to the floor for debate. It would help us find out some of the issues that come with legal marijuana. Aside from the obvious health aspects, there are also the legal issues that Wyoming would have to deal with if legalization ever gets passed.

Sam’s hopes that the study would be done by November may be a bit overly hopeful and would more likely try to get the information next year.
