With the August 18 Wyoming Primary Election now only a week-and-a-half away, local political candidates will take center stage on the ''Weekend in Wyoming" program on am 650, KGAB on Saturday.

The program will lead off at 11:05 a.m. with outspoken Cheyenne Ward II City Council candidate James Johnson. Johnson, who is one of five candidates vying for two council seats in Ward II, has been a vocal critic of the current Cheyenne City council on numerous occasions.

Among other things, we'll ask Eliopoulos what sets him apart from the several other Republican GOP commission candidates as the August 18 primary election looms. At 12:05 we'll speak with Cheyenne Mayor Marian Orr as she makes her case for a second term as the leader of Wyoming's Capitol City and largest city.

At 12:35, we'll switch gears as we speak with representatives of the Master Gardener program about composting and other lawn and garden-related topics. We'll take calls for all of our guests at 632-3323.

Join us on Saturday, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. for Weekend In Wyoming on AM 650 KGAB!
