Have you ever had a model train set?

This weekend model trains and railroads will be set up inside the Cheyenne Ice and Events Center (formerly the Taco John's Events Center) on West Lincolnway for the annual Sherman Hill Model Train Show.

Admission is five dollars, free for children 12 and under. Hours for the show are 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Also, it's Depot Days at the Cheyenne Depot Museum featuring tours of the Union Pacific steam shop and roundhouse with opportunities to see steam locomotives Numbers 844 and 3985. The Car 57 project will also be on display, it's a Pullman railroad car built in 1887 that's being restored.

The Cheyenne Depot Museum has free admission all weekend and free Trolley rides are also being offered between the Depot Days sites, including the Cheyenne Ice and Events Center. There will also be a special presentation by Anna Lee Ames, a descendant of Oakes Ames, about the Ames Monument at 2 p.m.
