A series of drug arrests and search warrants on Tuesday by the Northern Colorado Drug Task Force ''dismantled" a drug trafficking organization operating across the region, according to a  release from the task force.

The release says SWAT teams executed search and arrest warrants in Arvada, Berthoud, Campion, Denver, Fort Collins, and Thornton.

The release says the organization was peddling methamphetamine, heroin, and fentanyl. The investigation steemed from the heroin overdose death of a North Fort Collins man in May. So far the names of those arrested and other details have not been released
