The ramp from eastbound Interstate 80 to northbound Interstate 25 will close for two weeks beginning Tuesday, Sept. 17, according to the Wyoming Department of Transportation.

WYDOT spokesman Matt Murphy says the closure is necessary to repair concrete slabs on the ramp and allow them time to cure.

Murphy says traffic will be detoured onto W. Lincolnway and then to northbound I-25, and he urges drivers to use alternate routes if necessary.

Murphy says the work -- which is part of a larger job to repair concrete slabs on various roads in the Cheyenne area -- will not affect I-80 access to southbound I-25 or I-25 southbound to I-80 eastbound traffic.
