Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued for Albany, Platte Counties

The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for northeastern Albany County and southwestern Platte County until 3:15 p.m.

At 2:27 p.m., a severe thunderstorm was located 14 miles southwest of Bordeaux, or 19 miles southwest of Wheatland, moving north at 20 mph.

Hazards include two-inch hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

The Service says the storm will remain over mainly rural areas of northeastern Albany and southwestern Platte counties.

A tornado watch also remains in effect until 8 p.m. for southeastern Wyoming.
