This is probably not the moment that we've been waiting for. The four letter word that we dread is in the forecast for the Capital City - SNOW!  As we are still enjoying the fall weather, we're probably not thinking about preparations for the first snow. Today on the Top 5 at 7:45, I'll highlight some things to think about as we prepare for the (potential) first snow in Cheyenne.

  1. Have Your Battery Checked - Nothing like a battery that doesn't perform in the dead of winter.
  2. Get Your Brakes Checked - Especially if you haven't had them checked in the past 6 months or so. At least go have them looked at.
  3. Service Your Snow Blower - Unless you love shoveling heavy wet snow for your daily workout, go have that blower checked out and serviced, if need be.
  4. Make Sure Your Car Has A Window Scrapper - Using your arm and hands is a grueling experience. As a matter of fact, I down right hate it. How many times have I gone to the car and the scrapper was no where to be found?? Not this year baby!
  5. Ensure You Gas Gauge Reads Above 1/2 A Tank - According to experts, it's not good to let your gas gauge get below 1/4, but 1/2 is a safe zone to avoid freezing in the gas lines and unwanted condensation.
