Have you written any songs?

Ty Warner of the local band Change Agents will conduct a free songwriter's workshop at the Laramie County Library on Tuesday, October 27.

If you've ever written a song, you can bring it along with your instrument to the free songwriter's workshop at the Laramie County Library on Tuesday, October 27. The Cheyenne chapter of the Nashville Songwriters Association International meets in the Sage Room from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Songwriter's are asked to bring 2 copies of their lyric sheets so others can sing along. If you don't play an instrument and just like to write song lyrics, you're welcome to bring one of your favorite songs to the workshop too.

Ty Warner founded the local chapter after several trips to Nashville, performing at various venues. He hopes to inspire local songwriters and relay helpful information to them about how to get their songs published.

Warner was the leader of Ty & The Twisters and while performing at Old Chicago their lead singer Robin Munis was shot and killed by her sniper-trained ex-husband. He formed a new band, named for a term he heard used at Safehouse Services where they say we are all Change Agents to help stop domestic violence.
