Very windy weather conditions will pose hazards for travelers in southeast Wyoming through at least Tuesday, according to the Cheyenne office of the National Weather Service.

The weather service posted this statement on its website early Sunday:

"Prolonged windy period coming up tonight through Tuesday across I-80 and portions of I-25. Sustained winds of 35 to 45 with gusts to 60 mph likely during this extended time frame. Blowoff and blow overs will be possible. Slow down and keep both hands on the wheel in case of sudden wind gusts.''
