He's wanted for unauthorized absence (a class 6 felony and a subset of escape under Colorado law) as well as aggravated first and second-degree motor vehicle theft.

Larimer County authorities are looking for a 39-year-old man whose last known address was in Fort Collins on several felony charges.

The deputies turned around to follow the Durango, but the driver sped away before they could stop him. He left the car and fled on foot, but deputies found him hiding in a backyard and arrested him.

Police are asking anyone who sees a similar-appearing vehicle to call them at 307-352-1575, reference case number R23-03500.

The post says six stolen vehicles were reported to the agency between February 25 and April 21.

No one in the three cars hit by the Nissan was seriously injured, according to police.
