A winter storm watch has been posted for Cheyenne starting on Thursday afternoon.

Two feet of snow is possible at higher elevations.

After midnight and through early Friday, a chance of snow will be present for the entire eastern side of Wyoming, as far west as Rawlins.

The BOPU says ice on some of our lakes may be destabilized by their transfer of water out of Lake Absarracca to Kiwanis Lake and eventually to Sloans Lake.

Wet roads are expected statewide, and hunters are cautioned to be prepared.
