Do you hear the outdoor warning sirens during their monthly tests? If you are able to hear Cheyenne's outdoor warning sirens when they're tested on the first Friday of each month, then you are safer during a storm.

Where do you go for information when the weather turns severe? When the skies turn black and clouds start to rotate, the National Weather Service can activate the Emergency Alert System setting off tones over radio stations and sirens that can be heard all around the Cheyenne area.
