H.M Hook

Just over a month after the Union Pacific Railroad officially established Cheyenne in 1867, H.M. Hook was elected as our first mayor.

On August 8, 1867, the first charter for the government of the City of Cheyenne was established and two days later on August 10, 1867, H. M. Hook was elected mayor. A lot happened 150 years ago this week.
