Historic markers in Cheyenne

December 10, 1869, legislators in the new Wyoming Territory approved a bill granting women the right to vote and hold public office. The landmark law was the first of its kind.

The patriotic tribute was placed on the marker commemorating the site where women were first granted the right to vote in 1869.
