The first of three Cheyenne Frontier Days Pancake Breakfasts is scheduled for Monday from 7-9 am in the Cheyenne Depot Plaza.
Pancake breakfasts have been a CFD tradition since the early 1950s.
Besides offering a free meal to Cheyenne Frontier Days visitors and Cheyenne residents, the breakfasts serve as a Kiwanis Club of Cheyenne drill in feeding large numbers of people in case of a natural disas
This year, volunteers will serve up more than 100,000 pancakes along with 630 pounds of butter and 475 gallons of syrup, 3,000 pounds of ham, 9,200 cartons of milk and 520 gallons of coffee.
The exact numbers were not immediately available, but the ''Cheyenne Day" Cheyenne Frontier Days Pancake Breakfast on Wednesday appeared to draw a very large crowd.
