Wyoming congresswoman Harriet Hageman on Tuesday voted against removing Kevin McCarthy as speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives.
After the vote, she issued the following statement:
"There are far too many pressing concerns facing this nation for Congress to be pulled into such a selfserving stunt as one member is selfishly trying to torpedo the business of the House...
In Laramie County, candidates for city council, county commission, sheriff, school board, and a number of other local offices are on the ballot, although some candidates are running unopposed.
We all know it's an Election year and there are plenty of people wanting to talk and/or argue politics with November 3rd approaching next week. Luckily, Wyoming isn't a state where you'll have to hear too much about it from your co-workers.
