In Wyoming, where voices of dissent are rare, a local woman is rallying her community for a peaceful protest against the current administration's policies.

Ranchers protest at Torrington Burger King

Marching from the Depot Plaza through downtown, the group demonstrated at the Wyoming Capitol Building and the Cheyenne Police Department.

Sgt. Jeremy Beck says George Floyd's death "should never have happened," and he hopes the officers charged in his death are swiftly brought to justice.

While at times tense and confrontational, the protesters peacefully moved along down Second Street for the most part.

The department added that Casper has had similar issues with false information being posted.

She did say further information may be available Tuesday afternoon.
