The Monkees have booked a two-week tour for May and June.

Released in theaters nationwide on Nov. 6, 1968, 'Head' was the Monkees last real hurrah as a pop phenomenon of the '60s.

The death of a loved one often brings those left behind closer together, and it seems that may be what happened in The Monkees' camp.  Following the unexpected death of Davy Jones earlier this year, Peter Tork, Micky Dolenz and, surprisingly, Michael Nesmith, have announced that they're hitting the road for a U.S. tour.

Yesterday, the world lost a pop culture icon. Davy Jones, lead singer and adorable tambourine player for the TV troublemakers and original boy band The Monkees, passed away after a sudden heart attack. Much like his Beatles counterparts, this British heart throb was a teen idol and drove girls crazy around the world.

Who was your favorite Monkee? The Monkees were America's television version of The Beatles in the mid sixties. The members of the group chosen from auditions were Michael Nesmith, Davy Jones, Peter Tork and Micky Dolenz. Davy Jones died on the morning of February 29, 2012 after suffering a heart attack at his home in Florida, he was 66. He was the only Englishman in the American band.
