I've forgotten this item in years past and I regret it every single time.

The big day is almost here! If you're like me, you are headed to someone else's house for Thanksgiving and there will be lots of food. Too much food, in fact. I'm not saying that to make you feel guilty about portion control. I'm saying that because you need to do something about it.

Tupperware.

I know, I know. It seems really tacky to waltz into someone else's house ready to take food home with you, but in reality it's a genius plan. I'm not saying you need to take it inside with you upon arrival, but just keep some extra containers, Zip-loc baggies and grocery bags in your car. Trust me, at some point the host will ask you to take some leftovers home. Nine times out of 10 when this happens, the host doesn't have anything to send leftovers home with you, which is why you bring your own.

This also prevents you from having to return said Tupperware in the future. Instead you can eat those delicious leftovers at your leisure. And honestly, as someone who has hosted big gatherings, it's a blessing to have people take that food off of your hands to help prevent waste.
