A 50-year-old Cheyenne transient could face up to 10 years in prison after allegedly stabbing a man.

Court records say police were called to Scooter's Bar at 507 E. Lincolnway shortly before 10 p.m. on Sept. 23 after Kenneth Potter reportedly stabbed Robert Robinson in a field behind the bar.

Robinson had a stab wound on his right leg, according to an affidavit.

When police searched Potter, they found a knife in his pants pocket which he advised was the knife he used to stab Robinson.

Potter was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and battery-bodily injury with weapon.

Potter is currently being held in the Laramie County jail on a $10,000 cash bond. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 2 at 9 a.m.
