Utah Man Dies In Flaming Gorge Boating Mishap
Sweetwater County Sheriff Mike Lowell says a Utah man has died in an apparent drowning on Flaming Gorge Reservoir.
The sheriff's office made the announcement on Sunday afternoon, saying the accident involved three men in a small boat south of Buckboard Marina. Sheriff's deputies and Wyoming Game and Fish Department wardens rescued two of the men and found the body of the third man, who is believed to have drowned.
Adverse weather is believed to have been a factor. The name of the victim and exact circumstances of the accident, including the time it occurred, had not been released at last report.
The sheriff's office said more details would be released on Monday (today).
