UW Wrestling Coach And Wife Welcome Wyoming’s First Baby Of 2018
When Erin Kyle went into labor on Sunday morning, she was hoping to have Wyoming's last baby of 2017. Instead, Kaleb Kyle waited until one minute after midnight, arriving at 12:01 a.m. on New Year's Day.
Kaleb is the son of University of Wyoming associate wrestling coach Ethan Kyle. The Missouri native was a collegiate wrestler at Oklahoma State University and followed former OSU assistant and current Wyoming head coach Mark Branch to Laramie in 2010.
Ethan isn't the only athlete in the family. Erin (Heffron) is a former Miss Wyoming Rodeo and ran for the UW Cross Country team from 2006 to 2009.
Both mom and baby are happy and healthy. Kaleb, who weighed 7 pounds, 15 ounces and measured 21½ inches long, was released from Ivinison Memorial Hospital yesterday.
