The old Safeway is being torn down to make way for something new. There seems to be mixed feelings from folks commenting on Facebook.

Blue Federal Credit Union will be building a corporate headquarters at the Cole Shopping Cente at Pershing and Converse Avenue, with construction set to begin in mid-2019.

Their new headquarters will house approximately 170 employees, with a 400-person capacity as the company grows. Those offices will include accounting, human resources, marketing, and executive staff.

Sad to watch the old shops go. But happy when we see something new built.
