The rock returns to Cheyenne Frontier Days this year when Nickelback plays the Daddy of 'Em All for the first time since 2002. The Canadian quartet is one of many bands to rock the CFD stage, including ten future Rock and Roll Hall of Fame acts. Here's a look back at the biggest rock shows in Frontier Days history.

Night Ranger was the first mainstream rock act to play CFD in 1985. Several rock bands followed in their footsteps in the late 80s, including the Beach Boys, Chicago, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, and REO Speedwagon.

The only major rock band to play Frontier Days in the 90s was ZZ Top, who made their first of two CFD performances in 1999. The CFD lineup has featured at least one rock band every year since, except for 2017.
