WyoLotto officials announced Tuesday that the lottery has transferred over $5.4 million to the state this fiscal year, the largest annual transfer since its launch in 2014.

Not only is the record-setting amount a big deal to WyoLotto, others around the country have also taken notice.

In fact, WyoLotto was awarded the Sharon Sharp Award, which is given to the lottery which produces the largest year-over-year increase in funding for good causes.

"Giving back is what WyoLotto set out to accomplish when it was formed in 2014," said WyoLotto CEO Jon Clontz.  "The true measure of a lottery's success is what it gives back."

In the last three years, WyoLotto has transferred over $14.8 million to the State Treasurer's Office for distribution to local towns and counties.
