Wyoming Cowboys Receive Recognition in National Poll
For the first time since 2007 the Wyoming Cowboys received a vote in a national college football poll.
The Pokes got one vote in the weekly Amway Coaches Poll released Sunday. Wyoming's single vote has them at No. 40.
The last time the Cowboys received votes in national polls was nine years ago. UW reached as high as 37th in the Coaches Poll and 44th in the Associated Press Poll that year. That season, the Pokes started 4-1 and finished 5-7.
Wyoming has won three straight games and is 5-2 on the season and 3-0 in the Mountain West for the first time ever.
The Cowboys will host No. 13 Boise State Saturday night at War Memorial Stadium. Kick-off is at 5 p.m.
