Here's some good news for Pokes football fans. Although Wyoming fell to Appalachian State this weekend, the 0-5 Cowboys are no longer ranked as the worst team in the nation.

Leading up to this weekend, the Pokes had been ranked 128th out of 128 teams in the ESPN College Football Power Index. In spite of their latest loss, Wyoming climbed two spots and is now rated 126th nationally, in front of UTEP and North Texas.

And while the Cowboys are still without a win, ESPN projects that they will win at least one game this season. That elusive first victory isn't likely to come this weekend, when they face Air Force on the road. However, there's a chance we could celebrating on October 17th when 100th ranked Nevada comes to Laramie.
