A Vietnam veterans’ memorial at the University of Wyoming will be rededicated at 3 p.m. on Friday, March 30th. The ceremony is part of the second annual Wyoming Veteran’s Welcome Home Day. The date is significant, because  March 30th, 1973 is when the last combat troops left Vietnam and the Wyoming contingent returned to the Cowboy State. The memorial is located on the east corner of 9th and Ivinson in Laramie, southwest of Old MainGov. Matt Mead, UW President Tom Buchanan and Lee Alley, Vice-chairman of the Wyoming Veteran’s Commission will speak at the ceremony. A reception will follow the re-dedication ceremony in the UW Veteran’s Service Center, located in Room 241 of Knight Hall. The VFW Post 2221 will also host a Welcome Home Veteran’s Day dinner at 5 p.m. on the 30th.
