Wyoming’s Best Grillmasters Compete For State BBQ Championship
Worland will be the culinary capital of the Cowboy State this weekend as teams from around the region try to smoke out the competition at the Wyoming State BBQ Championship.
33 teams will compete for over $10,000 in prize money in several categories, including brisket, chicken, pulled pork, pork ribs, sauce, and "mystery meat". Now in its 14th year, the annual event also features bluegrass music, a car show, 5k run and craft beer fest.
B-S BBQ Outlaws will return to defend their 2017 title. The Hill City, South Dakota, team posted top-five finishes in all four of the major meat categories to claim the Grand Champion Award. Casper's Smoking Hot Butts BBQ took second place and are hoping to bring the championship back to Wyoming this year.
