As we prepare for the Super Bowl, here's a look back at five times Wyoming shined on the biggest stage in sports.

1. Boyd Dowler in Super Bowl II - The pride of Cheyenne made one of the greatest plays in Super Bowl history, hauling in a 62-yard touchdown pass from Bart Starr to give Green Bay a 13-0 lead versus Oakland.

The Packers would cruise to their second straight Super Bowl title, trouncing the Raiders 33-14.

2. Jay Novacek in Super Bowl XXVII - After Buffalo scored on their first possession, Novacek caught a 23-yard touchdown pass from Troy Aikman to tie the game at 7.

The former Poke went on to catch seven passes for 72 yards, leading the Cowboys to a blow out win over the Bills.

In Super Bowl XXX, Novacek's 19-yard touchdown catch helped Dallas defeat Pittsburgh to claim their third ring in four years.

3. Jim Kiick in Super Bowl VII - A proud UW alum and member of Miami's undefeated 1972 team, the bruising fullback plunged into the end zone from the 1-yard line, giving the Dolphins a 14-0 lead over Minnesota.

Miami would go on to win their second straight Super Bowl, mauling the Vikings 24-7.

4. Jerry Hill in Super Bowl III - This Lingle High School and University of Wyoming product played an integral role in, arguably, the most memorable Super Bowl game of all time.

Hill's Baltimore Colts were heavily favored to defeat New York when brash young quarterback Joe Namath guaranteed a Jets victory.

Trailing 16-0 in the fourth quarter, Hill scored the only touchdown of the game for Baltimore. Unfortunately for the Colts, it wouldn't be enough as Broadway Joe and the Jets shocked the world with a 16-7 upset win.

5. Aaron Kyle in Super Bowl XII - UW's star cornerback broke the hearts of Broncos fans when he intercepted Denver quarterback Craig Morgan and returned it for 19 yards, setting his Dallas Cowboys up for a field goal and a 10-0 first-quarter lead.

Kyle would also recover a fumble, one of eight turnovers the Dallas defense would force on their way to a 27-10 victory.
