In his second stint with the University of Wyoming, Larry Shyatt has led the Pokes to a 15-2 start this year.  While the Cowboys are on the verge of one of the best seasons in the program's history, here's a few things you probably didn't know about Wyoming's Head Basketball Coach.

1. During his coaching career, Shyatt has 25 postseason appearances. During his tenure as an assistant coach at Florida, the Gators won two national championships.

2. Wyoming has advanced to the postseason during each of Shyatt's four years with the program, averaging over 19 wins per season.

3. The Basketball Times named Shyatt the top assistant coach in the nation four consecutive seasons from 2007 - 2010.  Shyatt was also named the Western Athletic Conference Mountain Division Coach of the Year during his first stint with Wyoming in 1998.

4. Shyatt led Clemson University to the NIT Finals in his first season as head coach in 1999, becoming only the fourth first year coach in the history of the Atlantic Coast Conference to lead his team to a 20 win season.

5.  Shyatt's oldest son Jeremy has served as his father's assistant coach for the past four seasons.

6. Shyatt's first recruit after returning to Wyoming was Mountain West Conference Pre-Season Player of the Year Larry Nance, Jr., who hails from Shyatt's former hometown of Cleveland, Ohio.

7. Shyatt is known for his superstitious fashion.  This year, he's been wearing a "lucky gold sweater" during the Pokes undefeated conference run.  Let's hope his lucky sweater keeps paying off throughout the season.
