It's Monday morning and the alarm clock goes off and the last thing you want to do is roll out of bed. Well, there are some clever ways to trick yourself to get your workout on.  Doctors have talked about and realize that it can be challenging for well meaning people, who want to go for an early work out, to get out of bed in the morning to do so.

Here are 5 ways that you can convince yourself to get out of the sack and get your workout on.

  1. The Night Before - Go ahead and go to bed in your outfit the night before. That way when you roll out of bed, you're ready to get your work out on.
  2. Who's Your Buddy - Sometimes we need to get a new buddy to work out with. A new buddy can bring new ideas and energy to your work out.
  3. Mints By The Bed - Brett Hoebel who has his own fitness center and was a trainer on the show "Biggest Loser" says when the alarm clock goes off, pop in a mint because the sugar in the mint will help to excite your brain and get you going.
  4. Psych Yourself - Give yourself a morning pep talk to get you going. Paralympic Gold Medalist Mallory Weggemann says after she hits snooze on the radio clock, she gives herself a 5 - 10 minute pep talk to get her up and going.
  5. Give Yourself Some Space - Between you and your alarm clock. I have done this before. Set your alarm clock loud and distant between you and it. That way when it goes off, you'll have to get up and shut it off. At that point, head out of the bedroom and get ready to get your work out on.
