Multi-Media Journalist – Laramie

Responsibilities: Writing and editing stories for digital content. Need to be able to write in a conversational manner, as content will be used by station personnel for on-air broadcast. Extensive computer knowledge and experience needed for our web platforms, as you will be updating and monitoring station websites and social media accounts. You will be expected to help with our Townsquare Media brands through digital content, image taking, and remote broadcasts.

Requirements: We’re seeking a driven, professional journalist with excellent writing skills, a concise writing style, and a successful track record of utilizing the web and social media. This position calls for a person to be able to cover live and local events on a flexible schedule, understand a computer-based radio programming system, input digital content to websites and deliver digital content via social media. Must be familiar with Microsoft Windows; Knowledge and understanding of WordPress and Nexgen are a plus.

Expectations: Person needs to be highly computer proficient, flexible, hard-working, punctual and must pass a background check.

Part-Time Production Assistant – Cheyenne

Job Summary: Townsquare Media of Cheyenne is looking to add a versatile part-timer to our award-winning staff, to assist us with various promotional, digital, and broadcast projects. Looking for a well-rounded candidate – existing familiarity with things like broadcast automation systems and related studio equipment, Microsoft Office, audio editing software, WordPress, etc. helps, but will train the right person with demonstrated drive, ability, and willingness to learn.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Must be able to lift heavy items such as speakers, tents/pop-ups, concrete & or sand in 5 gallon buckets and other on-site equipment.
• Must Have a Driver’s License and be insured/insurable.
• Will need to be able to operate an audio mixing board for broadcast programming as well as digitally edit sound files and load them into the NexGen platform.
• Must be able to think and act quickly – multitasking is a big part of the job.
• Must have neat appearance and friendly demeanor with an upbeat attitude and work flexible hours.

Previous broadcast/digital sales experience a plus.

Job Summary: A Townsquare Media Account Executive is the primary contact to existing and prospective customers. You will develop business relationships; sell radio advertising, our digital portfolio of products, event sponsorships and sales promotion packages by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Promote and sell radio advertising, digital products, events and promotional programs to existing clients on your account list.
• Develop additional accounts by consistently cold-calling and creating relationships with new advertising customers.
• The majority of your time will be spent on the street meeting, inquiring and crafting advertising programs for your clients, both new and existing.
• Prepares advertising schedules, promotional plans, sales literature, proposals and sales contracts.
• Responsible to accurately project revenues, meet and exceed monthly budgets for all product lines and overachieve annual budgets.
• Enters new customer data and other sales contract details for station clients into computer database.
• Follow accountabilities set forth by your Sales Manager to help guide you to success.
• Investigates and resolves client issues.
