The Cheyenne chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, a non-profit organization, are hosting an event this weekend to thank and honor all of our Vietnam veterans. The recognition will also include all personnel who were prisoners of war, and those missing in action.

Veterans and their families are invited to attend the 50th Commemoration, which will be held in the Cottonwood Room at the Laramie Country Library from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March, 29, 2014.

City Councilman and Vietnam veteran Jim Brown will be the keynote speaker. Regent Donna Weaver will MC the event.

The celebration will include proclamations from both Governor Matt Mead and Mayor Rick Kaysen, as well as presentations from other Veteran groups.

Members of the group have coordinated with veteran organizations and the Cheyenne community to plan this reunion.

Please make plans to come by and visit for commemoration, refreshments and camaraderie. Door prizes will be awarded.
