The organization in charge of accreditation for Laramie County Community College will be visiting the LCCC campus later this month for visits with students, faculty, staff and the general public. The Higher Learning Commission visits the campus every seven years as part of the accreditation process, according to John Sanford, who is a psychology instructor as well as the college’s liasion to the commission. Sanford says the commission will host a public meeting on Wednesday, July 18 from 1:30 until 2pm and Friday, July 20 from 10am until 11am. Both of those meetings are scheduled for room 121 in the LCCC Science Center. Sanford says the commission is holding a lunch meeting with students on Thursday, July 19th in the LCCC Dining Hall. Sanford says the group will hold additional meetings with staff and faculty and will also gather input on a variety of LCCC programs as pazrt of the accreditation process.
