Sports fans are mourning the loss of Arnold Palmer, who died yesterday [Sept. 25, 2016] at the age of 87.

Arguably the most beloved golfer of all time, Palmer's influence spread across the world; even right here in Wyoming.

In the mid-1980s, Palmer designed Teton Pines, a scenic country club in the town of Wilson, Wyoming.

When it opened in 1987, Golf Digest ranked Teton Pines among the best resorts in the country.

Nearly 30 years later, it is widely considered to be one of, if not the, best golf course in Wyoming.

Set at the base of the Teton mountains, the 18 hole course is relatively flat. In addition to the amazing scenery, the back nine also offers golfers a glimpse at the local wildlife, including elk, moose, bald eagles and many other frequent visitors.

If you'd like to pay your respects to Arnold Palmer on the links, Teton Pines is a semi-private club with green fees ranging from $40 to $160.

Too rich for your blood? Wyoming's Dust Cutter Beverage Company produces and distributes their own take on an "Arnold Palmer", a delicious iced tea with lemonade.
