Wyoming Hay Prices Up Again in July [AUDIO]

Cheyenne Light Gets Go Ahead to Build Power Plant
The Wyoming Public Service Commission Tuesday approved a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity for Cheyenne Light Fuel and Power and Black Hills Power, to build a $222 million dollar natural gas fired plant in Cheyenne.
Busy Day For First Responders In Yellowstone Monday
Yellowstone National Park rangers spent the day Monday responding to numerous incidents, including several involving significant injuries to visitors. Yellowstone National Park spokesperson Dan Hottle says 56 year old Carl Dullmaier, of Gernsheim, Germany, sustained a head injury when he was thrown from a horse near Tower Junction. Michelin Issues Tire Recall [AUDIO]
Michelin is recalling around 841,000 BF Goodrich and Uniroyal tires because the tread can separate, causing rapid air loss. Doug Randall reports that the Wyoming Transportation Commission awarded contracts totaling nearly $17.8 million for 11 highway projects around the state during its July teleconference meeting. Wyoming’s Senators Vote Against Tax Extension Bill [AUDIO]

Representative Cynthia Lummis (R-Wyo) spoke on the House floor Tuesday in support of H.R. 459, the Federal Reserve Transparency Act. The bipartisan bill aims to carry out a full audit of the Federal Reserve, the nation’s central banking system. The National Education Association says Wyoming spent nearly $16,000 per public school student in 2011, ranking it 5th among states in spending. Click
