A native of Fort Collins, Colorado, David Settle earned a degree in Broadcasting from the University of Wyoming in 1998. He originally joined Townsquare Media (KOWB/Y95 Country) in June of 1998 as a board operator. He was named the full-time Sports Director in July of 1999. In July of 2009, he added the title of Operations Manager to his responsibilities. David hosts the 'Laramie Live on KOWB' morning show weekdays from 7-to-10 a.m. on KOWB. As the Sports Director, he is in charge of covering all aspects of the local sports scene. David provides in-depth sports reports five times during the morning show; broadcasts 1-minute sports updates throughout each weekday on KOWB and 2 morning updates on Y95 Country. He coordinates all sports programming for Townsquare Media Laramie. David is the primary host of Cowboy Talk and the “Voice of” the Laramie Plainsmen and Lady Plainsmen, as well as the Laramie Rangers. In 2007, 2008 and 2010, he won the award for “Best Play-by-Play” from the Wyoming Association of Broadcasters. As Operations Manager, David oversees the day-to-day functions of both KOWB and Y95 Country. He has also worked as an intern for Wyoming Public Radio and KIIX radio in Fort Collins. David is happily married. He and his wife Sara, have two daughters, Mikaela and Paige.
