I was born in the 80's, grew up in the 90's, so I have seen my fair share of high school party movies. Almost all are the same. Teens with raging hormones coming together for a massive party where anything can happen. Love is lost and found, identities are discovered, and all works out in the end. Now there is finally a video that captures the true nature of most high school parties.
Tumble weeds are a common sight in Wyoming. They can be typically found blowing through fields, across roads, and stuck in fences. This Texas man's house is apparently and unfortunately located in a blowing path for these aimless drifters. Thanks to a wind storm this man's home gets virtually swallowed by tumble weeds. Now he is faced with chore of cleaning up the mess.
Childhood friendships are some of the strongest bonds. 6-year-old Dylan Siegel has gone above and beyond what most kids his age would do for a friend. Dylan wrote a book called "Chocolate Bar" in efforts to raise money for research for his friend who suffers from a rare liver disease, of which there is no cure. Sales from the book have since exceeded over $30,000.
There aren't too many things worse than locking yourself out of somewhere, especially a hotel room. Luckily all you have to do is go downstairs to the front desk and ask for a new key. As simple as that sounds, it can be extremely difficult and embarrassing if you are naked.
Infamous satirical news site The Onion is up to it's usual tricks. The arrival and passing of the 2013 Oscars gave the jokesters plenty of ammunition to fire at celebrities. One shot in particular gave them more than they bargained for. After calling 9-year-old Best Actress nominee Quvenzhané Wallis the "c-word" in a tweet, The Onion wrote something seldom seen by Onion followers. An apology.
Internet giant Google is giving us a glimpse of the future, through our own eyes. Project Glass offers an augmented reality experience through a lightweight headset. Even though Project Glass is still in it's testing stages, some lucky enthusiasts will get the opportunity to test out these future-tech glasses for the low price of $1500, if accepted.
Social media dominates a good portion of many people's daily lives. Checking up on friend's activities online is something most Americans do few times a day. Occasionally you will be asked to share something in efforts to help raise awareness or improve the well being of individuals and groups. How can you be sure the idea you are passing to your friends and family isn't a total lie?
Today I came across a video on YouTube of a skateboarder doing a back flip down a set of stairs. It was a short, impressive little video no more than 30 seconds in length. The trick this dude lands was remarkable, but the real astonishing part wasn't even in the video. It was in the comments section.
