Backwards Distilling Company Nominated In ‘USA Today’ Craft Gin Contest
While most of the county is looking to Wyoming as one of the best spots in the country to see the 2017 solar eclipse, USA Today is ranking the best craft gins.
At the time of this article, Backwards Distilling Company is in 6th place. Considering only the top 10 will be featured on USA Today’s 10 Best, the Mills, Wyoming-based company is currently in a good position.
The contest also shared some interesting information about Gin that the average consumer probably doesn’t know.
Gin gets its name from “Genievre,” the French word for juniper. Quickly growing in popularity, this spirit starts with a neutral base spirit distilled with an array of botanicals – not just juniper berries – to give it its distinct aroma and flavor profile.
