What not to buy on Black Friday includes: Winter gear, which goes on deep discounts in the new year. Exercise equipment goes on sale in January when everyone is on a diet. Some of the better smart TVs go on sale around Superbowl time. Tools drop in price closer to Christmas and toy prices drop more about 2 weeks before Christmas according to Fox.

Watch for scams. Some retailers mark up their original prices to make sales seem that much better.

Cyber shoppers watch out for bogus coupons trying to lure you into sites that will steal your information.

Check out charities online to make sure they are legit

And e-card scams can infect your computer with a virus as well as the receiver you’re sending it to.

In Colorado, it’s green Friday, with pot shops around the state offering different deals. One Denver shop is selling an ounce for $50, $200 off the original price. This is the 1st Black Friday since pot became legal there.
