CHEYENNE, Wyo. — A Boy Scouts troop in Cheyenne is looking for a new home because of fallout from the organization’s acceptance of openly gay members.

The First Congregational Church voted Dec. 8 not to renew the charter of Troop 102, which it has hosted since the 1950s. The pastor said church members aren’t happy to see the troop go, but he said the decision was necessary to remain true to their faith.

The scouts can meet at the church for the next six months while they search for a new home.
