Two of Cheyenne's Class 4A high school football teams will battle for a spot in the playoffs on Friday, while the other one hope's to come out of the weekend as the number one seed in the postseason.

It's do or die time for Cheyenne Central and Cheyenne South, both of whom sport 1-7 records at this point. South got its first win of the season Friday, trouncing Campbell County 53-27. Not only did that game mark the first time ever the Bison have defeated the Camels, it put a playoff spot within reach.

Central, meanwhile, was on the wrong end of a 63-20 score against Casper Natrona.  That sets up what is essentially a play-in game for central against the Bison on Friday night at 6 at Central.

Cheyenne East, meanwhile, knows they will be in the playoffs, but they still have plenty to play for as the hit the road against unbeaten Sheridan (8-0) on Friday. If the Thunderbirds can get a win and Rock Springs (4-4) is able to upset Natrona (7-1), East would have the top seed in the playoffs.

If East and Natrona win, the regular season would end in a three-way tie for first, and a probable coin flip to determine the playoff seedings.
